Call of Darkness – Chapter 7, Prologue 47

…Well, I have to admit that Si’ri’s mistrust of Sir Gianfor’s recent actions migh be slightly more justified than I originally allowed for. Let’s not jump to hasty conclusions, or prejudge people unnecessarily, but…that whole calling-my-dark-lord thing is a bit shady. >_> Plus, calling K’ip an annoying brat isn’t very nice, either. It’s not entirely unjustified, but not very nice…and I actually thought that the Paladins of Ferengar had some sort of commandment about nice-being, though I could be wrong…

Another warning sign is that thing about reporting success before it actually occured. Perhaps I’m imagining things, but I’d almost say that that’s a type of behavior you see more often from villains than from heroes.
I’d say we should keep an eye on the guy… >_>

Aside from that, we were supposed to get a first glimpse of this chapter’s main villain today, but unfortunately they seem to be otherwise engaged. ._. Evily engaged, likely…and perhaps even plot-relevantly engaged…but still not capable of getting to the palantir right now. Evil might not have standards, but it’s still got business hours. At least they’ve got an auto-responder. Anyway, for the time being our only clue to the villain’s character is their choice of ring tone, and that is highly troubling! For now you’ll be tormented for hours by having it stuck in your head, and if that isn’t evil, I don’t know what is.

And, perhaps, a final remark on panel one: Ah. Nothing can make a home out of a house like the pitter-patter of little feet!

More on Thurs…uh, Monday.
