p-zombie – Chap. 6, Act 3, Strip 18

In the philosophy of mind and perception, there is a hypothetical being called a philosophical zombie (or p-zombie). Basically, a philosophical zombie is outwardly identical to a human being, but lacks sentience. Therefore, it is cabable of reading more than three pages of modern philosophy without falling asleep.

Obviously, Gregory is not that kind of zombie.

And, yeah, he does spend time pondering what it means to be fully human, and what it means to him that he isn’t. That kind of comes with the territory, when you’re a completely unique type of semi-human, semi-undead abomination. But it doesn’t always affect him the same, it depends on his mood…it’s usually worst after sex or watching “The Wizard of Oz”, but after watching the morning news he’ll generally feel quite good about not fully belonging to humanity.

More on Thurs…uh, Monday!
