Pop Quiz! – Chap. 5, Act 3, Strip 33

Well, you didn’t really expect the Professor to let Snuka get away with it that easily, did you? “Functionally” just seems far too evasive and suspicously specific to just let it slide like that, so the least the Professor could do was check if the answer changes any if Snuka is confronted with the question without any preparation.

Alas, it does. Either Snuka is really sincere, or she’s just that good at being insincere. Hard to tell, especially since she’s probably got really light sleep to begin with – you know, a permanently guilty conscience plus far too many enemies…

So then the Professor takes the opportunity to ask for Euler’s number, while he’s at it. It’s one of those key constants he requires his students to know by heart, always accompanied by the disclaimer “even if I wake you up in the middle of the night and ask you for it!” So how could he have passed on this prime opportunity to actually do it for once? Assuming that the world survives, Snuka can later spread the story on campus, which will only add to the Professor’s awfu…awesome reputation.

More on Thursday.
