Oh, well. Too bad that Marumaru only received hypersensitivity training for his nipples, rather than proper sensitivity training. Otherwise, he would have known that a school like Yuri Shinkai Gakuen, which rates low in terms of inclusivity and accessibility to begin with, couldn’t really afford to render a whole floor completely inaccessible to people with height deficiencies.
And his personal sense of right and wrong wasn’t enough to warn him away from this course of action, either. While the ronin stereotype does require him to follow a moral code, it’s supposed to be a very personal and selective one – so usually it only shows up near the climax, and covers only a few key areas. It would have been very much out of character if it had made an experience under these circumstances.
Especially since Marumaru had put his mind into samurai mode to facilitate tactical considerations. And that mindset doesn’t really value inclusivity and accessibility, either. You’re supposed to be stern and ruthless as a samurai…I guess helping the less fortunate does fit in somewhere, but making the most of any advantage is definitely more central. And people who live in castles rarely think about making places more accessible, and frequently about the opposite.
More on Monday.
