Exit the parking lot – Chap. 6, Act 1, Strip 10

Yeah, Ninjas might pride themselves a lot on their stealth and inconspicuousy, but an old pro like the Professor naturally recognizes their tell-tale traces the very moment he doesn’t see them.

Admittedly, the ‘not seeing them’ part is a pretty tell-tale trace in itself. Snuka was gone suddenly and nobody anywhere to be seen in the vincinity, so who else could be responsible but Ninjas? If Snuka had been abducted by the Mafia (again) they’d probably still have been struggling to get him into the black Cadillac by the time the Professor looked back again. And aside from that, Snuka hadn’t even pissed off the Mafia recently. He had fun the first few times he did that, but you’ve got to grow up some day…especially when you’re trying to grow a mustache.

He might have pissed off the Russian Mafia more recently, but they wouldn’t have left the wine bottles behind. And they would have struggled even longer to get him into their car, because fitting five fat goons and a kidnap victim into a small Lada is difficult even if the victim isn’t resisting.

So Ninjas are definitely the most plausible culprits, although that leaves the Professor wondering what Snuka could have done to piss them off. He doesn’t even know of Ninjas holding any turf in Lillytown, which Snuka could have unwittingly violated…or wittingly tried to take over.

More on Thurs…uh, Monday!
