More Challenging Than a Challenge – Chapter 9, Act 2, Strip 27

On to the second step of the plan: the fake love-letter for Youichi. For the contents please refer to Akane’s summary of her plan – I don’t think it’s necessary to show the precise text. You know Akane, so you can probably easily imagine how horrible it is. >_>

But this second step doesn’t go off as exactly to plan as the first one. That’s great! …I mean, not as such, of course. But, statistically, one of the team’s plans falling apart at the second step is…one step later than average.

It looked promising for a moment there. Youichi was not disturbed by finding a letter in his locker – it does happen. But the letters he usually gets are insult-laced invitations to fisticuffs. They are not from girls, and usually only reference girls in so far as the authors tend to randomly label girls they believe Youichi cares about (like any of his five sisters, or his mother) as whores. Just, you know, as a token of animosity.

But, yeah, this letter didn’t call anybody a whore, and lacked any kind of actionable information, if you consider action as involving the use of your fists. Instead, words like ‘love’, ‘date’ and ‘girlfriend’ were included. Youichi is shook.

Shook quite severely, in fact. ._.

More on Thursday.

  1. Given the previous letter, I’m suprised it didn’t mention “use of fists”…..

    1. XD Yeah, the two others stopped Akane from getting too far into the details of the proposal. Perhaps that was a mistake, though…Youichi might have misunderstood the fist part, and felt on familiar territory…
