Using a robotic vampire dinosaur from the future instead of a dog comes with a lot of advantages. For one thing, it’s the overabundance of senses and sensors – it’s got the natural predatory instincts and hunting senses of both Raptors as well as Vampires, plus as many highly advanced technological sensors as could be integrated into the frame. That’s what bandwidth is all about.
Another advantage is it’s much larger towing capacity. Big dogs can pull small carts. Rapey can pull the Bratessor along at such speed that he doesn’t even have to bother touching the ground with his feet. Saves him a lot of exertion!
That the Bratessor was only able to tell that Rapey is a robot by its behavior is a bit of a stretch, of course…there should have been some physical hints. Like an on/off button somewhere, or a lid over the batteries (2xAA). But yeah, for plot purposes the Bratessor knew it from Rapey’s behavior. Backed up by somehow, which is always valid in a B-movie, even for a (pint-sized) scientist.
The ‘vampiric’ element of Rapey’s ancestry isn’t really relevant here…but in that regard I coud kinda buy that going by its behavior would be the best way to tell…
More on Monday.
Of course, the orange plastic skin is also a bit of a giveaway… somehow ;D
Well, technically we have no firm evidence that Raptor skin wasn’t plastic-like and orange in real life…but, yeah, I think the base assumption would be it wasn’t. XD
