So this was another idea I played around with, but ultimately dropped.
My script called for “some sort of giant frog monster” here, and when the time came to actually draw it, I entertained the thought of having Tsuyu Asui/Rainy Season Hero: Froppy of Boku no Hero Academia make a small, if physically giant, cameo here. Partly simply because I really like her design.
Of course that would have been completely random, but that had never stopped me before – what did stop me, i.e. make me give up on the idea, was simply that I didn’t want to see her killed by a cannon shot to her head. She definitely doesn’t deserve that. So in the end I scrapped the cameo and created a generic frog-like monster from scratch. But here’s a look at what the Froppy cameo would have looked like, naturally sans the tragic end.
