Well, sooner or later somebody was bound to notice. And Mopey probably had the best chance of being that somebody from the start, having been around the Professor the longest.

But if the Professor wasn’t absent, he’d be somewhat relieved that the others forget about him as readily as he tended to forget about Snuka in such situations. It kinda proves that it can happen to anyone, not just Snuka – which is exactly what the Professor told Snuka, without achieving a high level of conviction. He was right after all! But since he is absent, he can’t point that out…which must be the worst part about the whole situation for him. Still not as bad as getting hit in the ‘nads with Gouda for a few decades, but it must sting.

Assuming, of course, that the reasons for the Professor’s absence don’t sting worse. There’s quite a variety of possible reasons, after all, some decidedly more malign than some others…
