Talk of the range – Chap. 6, Act 4, Strip 104

Seems that Mopey’s plan to waylay Admiral Watanabe contained a little flaw, after all – it seems she completely failed to consider that she’d be at a range disadvantage with her close combat warhammer against his service pistol (effective range: 40 yards).

The Admiral, always helpful, points it out to her. And he knows that you should never leave your opponent’s mistakes unpunished, in order to further the art of war as such.

And really, how could this happen to Mopey? Did she really overlook the holster that was clearly visible on Admiral Watanabe’s belt the whole time? Yes it was. Yes, yes, yes. Don’t listen to anyone say that it wasn’t, that’s only fake news! And you don’t have to go back and look at earlier episodes to check – it’s enough that the Admiral himself confirms it, isn’t it? And with a straight face, too! That blush in the final panel could not possibly stem from having been asked to handwave away some glaring continuity fault. Such a blush would look different. This one here is clearly…uh…an allergic reaction…uh…to Mopey’s perfume*.

More on Thurs…uh, Monday!
