Bigger is battier – Chap. 6, Act 4, Strip 56

As I pointed out on Monday, the Naval Forces are the only branch of service still having horses in the race…unsurprisingly, since when Biff’s one of your horses, the race isn’t going to end early. As he amply demonstrates today, he may be many things, but he sure isn’t a quitter.

Of course some people say that his persistence is actually his only positive trait…but others differ, Mopey in particular. For, as she’d point out correctly (and quickly, and gleefully), when your brand of persistence only consists of persisting in abject stupidity, it’s actually not a positive trait at all.

Fortunately, while stupidity as such may be boundless, Biff still has physical limits that prevent him from implementing it to its full extent. Here, for example, if his new and larger geballte Ladung doesn’t do the trick…and he actually survives the attempt…he couldn’t just build an even larger one (as much ast that would be his first thought…well, his first instinct) because he wouldn’t be able to lift it anymore. Though, admittedly, he might notice that too late.

More on Thurs…uh, Monday!
