Cruisin’ – Chap. 6, Epilogue 3

Epilogue No. 3 reassures us that both Admiral Watanabe as well as Snuka are also sufficiently deep in ‘happy end’ territory.

In the Admiral’s case, it’s because he obviously had a spare inflatable island on his cruiser, making the loss of Aravanadi even more of an only temporary setback. Of course it will take a little while to get the Island inflated to a proper useful size, but compared to the slow rate at which coral islands grow naturally it’s really in the blink of an eye.

His accomodations also appear to be quite similar to what he was used to from Aravanadi – and he continues to be holographic, anyway, so it wouldn’t even matter much. So everything’s quite well.

And Snuka also finds himself in the type of accomodations he’s most used to. For he’s in deep trouble…and that’s where he was born, raised, and has spent most of his days since then. Apparently, the Professor was not the only one who confused him with the mecha-kaiju pilot, the Admiral’s men seem to have made the same mistake, or rather that mistake’s mirror image. The outfit might have contributed a lot to that…I don’t actually know why Snuka’s wearing a mecha-pilot suit, but it’s a pretty save bet it’s somehow connected to shenanigans he initiated himself. Likely with a profit motive. Making the trouble he’s in not only familiar, but also a likely instance of just deserts.

Due to his familiarity with the situation I’d still rate Snuka’s current state as compatible with a ‘happy end’ classification. Especially in relative terms. He might be stuck on a cruiser full of enemies, but at least he’s not spending several decades being hit in the gonads with gouda, like the last time. >_>

More on Thurs…uh, Monday!
