Forced Dismount – Chapter 7, Act 2, Strip 57

Yes. Sometimes you can’t help but wonder if humanity will ever truly advance. Often it seems to be moving sideways at best, and at times even clearly backwards. But…at other times, you clearly see the progress. This is one of those times.

After repeatingly climbing Silhouette Mountain & Co. in the obvious, laborious and time-consuming manner, this time our friend said “enough”. If the prophet doesn’t have the time to climb up the mountain, the prophet will make the mountain climb down to him, or something along those lines. Those who rise too fast fall just as quickly. And so on and so on. There are dozens of bonmots befitting this kind of a situation.

No matter what platitude you use to defend it, I feel this is a clear sign of progress on behalf of the team. Now I’ll just have to find some way to fit all those pointless cameos planned for this iteration of Silhouette Mountain into the plot at some other suitable point…or unsuitable point, if no suitable point presents itself…

The questions remains, of course, how the party managed to pull this little* feat off…but that question will have to wait until Thurs…uh, Monday.

* “Little? Can YOU move mountains just with the power of your MIND?”
