And so the setting changes back to the original one…or does it? No, it doesn’t! For this is not the Evergreen forest, where our tale began, it’s the Everred forest. Perceptively different! Well, unless you’re color-blind, of course, in which case you’ll have to take my word for it.
I’ve never been to Canada, but second-hand sources allowed me, I think, to render it with a high degree of fidelity. Everything I’ve ever read about the place has led me to believe that there’s really a whole lot of trees there, that all of these trees are red maples, and that Canadian flags are growing from them.
…well, I didn’t say they were good second-hand sources.
But, like, Canada, eh? This change of setting definitely confirms that the prologue is over*, for despite nationalized healthcare and polite people, Canada is a real country and not a realm of fantasy. Even my second-hand sources get that one correct.
So how did Si’ri and K’ip fare in that dungeon below Ad’nanapart, and what does it all have to do with Canada? It seems like the answer to that might not be immediately forthcoming, unless some lumberjack happens to have some info on that…if my second-hand sources are to be believed, we’re bound to run into a lumberjack shortly, and he’ll do his utmost to be helpful…
More on Thurs…uh, Monday.
* The “prologue“, which secretly was act 1, I should say. =P
