No need to check the calendar, Halloween is definitely through for this year. This is not another Twilight-Zone-style twist that will be undone after a special strip…this is reality, or what goes for it inside the fictional universe of a webcomic.

Actually, an optometrist – but it depends on viewpoint, obviously. Back when people still believed in magic, they might not have been able to tell ophtalmology apart from magic very well to begin with. Suddenly being able to see clearly after years, or even a life-time, of not being able to would have had to appear very much like magic to them…
