Hanging Purretty – Chapter 7, Epilogue, Strip 3

And one more loose thread I just can’t leave haging like that.

“That”, in this case, meaning “in a gibbet in Thronesitter’s temporary throne room in the root system of the Hideyoshi tree without complaining.” And since I can’t leave him hanging like that, I’ll instead leave him hanging “in a gibbet in Thronesitter’s temporary throne room in the root system of the Hideyoshi tree with much complaining”. It’s the least I can do. Literally. And I’m sure as hell not doing anything more than the least I could do for him, since…boy, he’s annoying with those permanent cat-puns, isn’t he? >_> Now he can see what it feels like having to make them without any kind of audience to suffer from it. Which, naturally, isn’t much fun, leaving the black cat all glum…as he deserves. So we’ll call this a case of justice served, and thus a happy ending in its own way.

On the way to seeing Chat Noir getting his just deserts, I thought I should show how the Hideyoshi tree him/herself is doing, just in case anybody was worried about that. He/she is doing perfectly fine. Trees have simple needs, after all, water and a little bit of sunshine, a few minerals and such stuff. I’m not sure what trees are actually doing all day, never having had the patience to really observe them for any extended amount of time…but I felt that reading the paper was a pretty safe bet for a tree that’s basically doing fine and not much else. >_>

More on Monday.
