New Year’s Eve Special 2021/2022 – Chapter 8, Act 2, Strip 63

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Everyone! =)

…soon…ish. >_> Yeah, it’s technical a day early, but I don’t want to alter my normal update schedule…for if I did, chances are at least even I’d end up forgetting to post the strip tomorrow. Better to make my weaknesses part of the plan from the start…

Anyway, I think this is the first time…or at least the first time in a long time…that I have a New Year’s Special strip without any fireworks going off. Following Biff’s own reasoning, I’ll leave it open whether this is due to Biff having successfully avoided causing the regular catastrophe…or whether he has somehow, completely inexplicably, caused it on schedule – and is just unaware of it due to his immersion. If you prefer, you can imagine all kinds of pyrotechnic hell being unleashed outside of Biff’s sub-aquatic refuge, just as he is formulating his thoughts in panel five. He will only know the day after, when he emerges to survey the carnage…or lack of it. And you will NEVER know! Muahahahaha!*

Have a good and safe New Year’s Eve and a good new year!

More on Monday.

* I exert very little control over things going on outside my comic strip, so I’m sorry, but I have to avail myself of the opportunity to abuse this small amount of power (of questionable value). XD

  1. Wouldn’t it be easier to create fireworks on purpose and then have a full day for himself?

    1. Yeah, that would definitely be easier – but it would also mean surrendering to the circumstances, and Biff doesn’t seem ready to do that yet. Perhaps next year. XD

    1. I’m not entirely convinced of the value of Biff’s idea, though…he is extremely well-hidden and cut off from the world, but sitting on the bottom of a public pool for 24 hours must get boring pretty quickly. Few people would want to spend New Year’s Eve like that, even in a pandemic year. XD
